Lauren M. Agunzo is a Senior Partner in the Internal Audit, Compliance and Fraud Prevention Group at Nawrocki Smith LLP. Mrs. Agunzo has more than 25 years of public accounting experience and specializes in the areas of risk management/internal audit, internal controls, and forensic accounting. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF).  Mrs. Agunzo is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of CPAs, where she serves on the Public School Committee. She is currently a Board Member and past President and Treasurer of the Institute of Internal Auditors’ Long Island Chapter. Mrs. Agunzo is also a Board Member and serves on the Finance and Audit Committee of the Girl Scouts of Suffolk County whose mission is to build girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place. In addition, she is an advisory Board Member of the Smithtown Children’s Foundation which helps children and families in the community during times of crisis.
